One of the questions that I frequently ask
is “What is God up to?”
It is this process of discerning what God
wants to accomplish that drives that work of
Jesus’ church.
I have the privilege of serving as
superintendent for this Mid-Atlantic region where
God is doing a good work.
The Kingdom is expanding both through
existing congregations that are thriving and new
churches that God is blessing. We currently have
about 60 congregations and 14 church plants. Of
our 60 congregations, 15% were started within the
last five years.
The churches in the Mid-Atlantic Region
include several different cultures.
In addition to multi-cultural churches we
have Hispanic churches,
Brazilian
Churches
,
Haitian
Churches
, Indo-Pak churches, Anglo churches, an Egyptian
church, and an African-American church.
I came to this position as superintendent
after serving twenty-one years as pastor at White
Haven,
Pennsylvania
, and then serving several years as the Director
of Growth Ministries for the denomination. I have
been blessed by God to be able to serve His church
in these different capacities.
My personal passion has been to continue to
learn to live in Christ so that I continue to abide,
listen, and obey.
The Mid-Atlantic region is blessed
with pastors who are Godly men and women, skilled
leaders, and caring pastors.
I am blessed to be able to serve Jesus
alongside them.
Sincerely,
Dave Harvey, Superintendent |
